Situated in the Bergriver sub-region (195 km from Cape Town) lies the village of Redelinghuys. Experience the magnificent beauty of the famous, protected Verlorenvlei which stretches from the upper reaches of Redelinghuys and flows into the Atlantic Ocean at Elands Bay.

Redelinghuys offers an excellent base from which to explore the many activities and scenic country side for which the area is renowned especially Verlorenvlei with its prolific bird life of more than 180 species of birds. The area offers ideal photo opportunities with its scenic landscape all year round especially during the annual flower season (July - September).

Redelinghuys is home to the finest potato growing area in South Africa - ask anyone in the "know" about Sandveld potatoes and you'll be told all about the finest quality which comes from the Sandveld.

Several hiking and biking trails in the area will take you through beautiful scenery where you will see the ancient rock formations, Bushman Paintings and archaeological digs which are currently underway in the area.
